Can I cancel my Trailfinders Holiday?

If you wish to cancel your Trailfinders holiday, you must contact Trailfinders in writing right away! Cancellation fees become more expensive the closer you are to your holiday dates. It is important to note that if an individual in your party chooses to cancel, it is possible that the price of your holiday will be increased and you will be responsible for paying the added costs of your holiday. Before you decide to cancel your holiday it is important to understand the consequences and costs of your cancellation. Individual supplier, like airlines and hotels may charge their own cancellation fees, in addition to Trailfinder’s cancellation fees, listed below.

Will you lose an unreasonable amount of money if you cancel your Trailfinders Holiday? Are you wondering if there is another way to avoid paying the expensive cancellation fees and lose the money you paid for your holiday? Read the section “How can I recover more money from my Trailfinders holiday?” at the bottom of the article to find out how to sell your holiday and receive your refund that way!

Can I change my Trailfinders Holiday?

If you wish to change certain details of your holiday, contact Trailfinders and they will do their best to help you make the necessary changes. Whether or not you are able to make these changes is dependent on the individual suppliers' terms and conditions. You are responsible for paying amendment fees to Trailfinders that are usually between £150 and £300 on top of any fees charged from the suppliers included in your holiday.

If you wish to make a name change or correction, it is essential that you contact Trailfinders immediately. Name changes will result in a minimum fee of £20 per correction on top of any charges the airline will charge.

If you cannot use your holiday due to death or illness of the people in your travel party or their immediate family you must contact Trailfinders in writing immediately. If this occurs you will be able to request to transfer your holiday to someone else. If you choose to transfer your holiday someone else, you are responsible for paying the Trailfinders administrative fee of £75 along with any other amendment fees from suppliers. In this case it is important to know that still, some airlines may not allow the transfer and the change will be considered a cancellation. If this is the case, you will be forced to rebook the flight and pay the increased cost and any cancellation fees from the airline.

How can I recover more money from my Trailfinders holiday?

If you feel like cancelling or changing your holiday will cost you a ridiculous amount of money, you’re right! Plus the Trailfinders amendment fees charges are vague and it is likely that you will end up paying more than you anticipated to make changes to your booking. You may lose most or all of the money you paid for your holiday and have to pay fees on top of that. It’s quite unfair! Luckily, you have another option! You can sell your holiday to someone else and receive your refund that way! All you need to do is change the names on your reservation to the person you are selling it to and pay the associated name change fees.

Trailfinders is obligated to allow you to change the names of the travellers on a package holiday, thanks to the European Package Travel Directive. Sometimes they can do this for the whole booking, sometimes they may not be able to change the names for the flights – this will depend on your airline. You can check our list of airlines, which allow name changes to see if yours does.

If you have a package holiday but cannot change the name of the flight, you can still change the name on the hotel booking and at least sell that. It is still much better than paying 100% cancellation charges!

I want to sell my Trailfinders holiday and get a refund that way, but don’t know anyone that wants it!
